Occasionally, Mother Nature decides to send large amounts of rain. If your yard slopes towards your home instead of away from it, the rainwater flowing against your house can cause a wet basement or crawl space; as well as create serious foundation issues and settling. This is referred to as Negative Grade & is one of the many drainage issues we can help solve. At Glennstone Outdoor Drainage, we do this by adding clean topsoil around the perimeter of your home and grading it to level any low spots and build up the grade to help prevent the rain from flowing up to and against your home’s foundation. Yard Grading can be used alone or in conjunction with French Drains or Downspout Drainage Systems.
